When it comes to notifying residents of a severe storm or threat in the area, many big cities are equipped with emergency sirens, but what about small towns like Henrietta?

Residents are asked to update their information and ensure their address is included.

Last school year, more than 54,000 alerts were sent from Florida campuses. Nearly half — 0r 44% — were related to student behavior. Only 1% of alerts were related to suspicious activity and another 1% for a campus threat.

A new alert system in Rhode Island, designed to notify the public when adults with disabilities go missing, went live earlier this year.
