EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — An Evansville man faces criminal charges after an investigation into a false candidacy filing, the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office said in a Friday evening news release.
GOP Chair Khyle Moers told the election board the issue was simple. Colbert had filed papers to run for delegate to the state party's convention even though the 8th District GOP banned him in 2024.
