Short track speed skating legend Choi Min-jeong marked the end of her Olympic journey and national team career with one gold and one silver medal at the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics on Friday.

Kim Gilli won Olympic gold in the women's 1,500 meters and ended Minjeong Choi's bid for a third straight title.

Less than 24 hours after short track speed skating legend Choi Min-jeong announced the end of her Olympic career, her appreciative teammates congratulated the outgoing captain on a memorable run in Korean sports history.
