This “green ground” chintz most likely was achieved with indigo and a yellow over-dye. The yellow being fugitive has disappeared in areas leaving the blue. We love this example! ❤️Repost from @timothylongfashioncurator using @RepostRegramApp - I love this dress. A beautiful floral print cotton is cut into a late 1790s silhouette!
