So I went to this place called blue line fry plaintain where they specialize in Haitian food and fry plantain sandwiches! The plaintain sandwiches made with either griot, chicken, or fried fish filet are so unique and flavorful ! The staple to every plaintain sandwich is the pikliz and the special house sauce. The process of making the black rice really stood out made with dion dion, mushrooms from Haiti that are soaked in water and used to cook the rice. Jean and Yviotte are using their Haitian

Day 9 of lunch prep went way too smoothly, which should have been my first warning sign! 😅 Packed up some hot stew chicken with white rice, a fried plantain sandwich, and salted tomatoes, but completely forgot the apple today! 🙈 Praying I don't get reprimanded at pick-up time. Drop a 🍎 in the comments if you've ever forgotten a lunch box essential, and follow along for the end-of-day review! ✨ #lunchprep #backtoschool #lunchboxideas #toddlerlunchideas #momlife
